Weddings at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church Lake Charles, LA

Weddings are a big step in the life of any couple. In the Episcopal Church we consider a Wedding as one of the Sacramental Rites. As such, we believe matrimony should not be entered into lightly or unadvisedly. To wed in the Episcopal Church requires the couple take a series of pre-marital sessions with a clergy member. The sessions cover a large range of issues that every newly married couple will face. It is our goal to assist you in forming a healthy and long-lasting commitment.

A part of your wedding preparations will include selecting music, flowers, readings, etc. To assist you with these and more, Good Shepherd Episcopal Church provides a Wedding Coordinator who knows every aspect of our Church and liturgy. They will guide you from start to finish with everything you need to know about our service.

Our Church is a lovely historical building full of beautiful stained glass, a high altar, and pipe organ. We also have musicians and cantors you may use for your special day and who can assist you in selecting the right music for your occasion.

To set your special date and begin planning your wedding requires a set fee of $1,000.00 for Church member families and $1,500.00 for non-members. These fees are used to cover security, music, cleaning, etc. Please contact the Church office to schedule a consultation and tour of our lovely facility.
